Build Community Capital

Partners & Support

Civic Alliance Partners
The impact of the Civic Alliance rests on the support of those in Ventura County who believe the Alliance makes a difference in how regional problems are addressed in our communities and that its unique 3E model (environment, economy and social equity) is an effective way to focus strategies to address issues that bedevil every city. Its initiatives currently include growth and sustainability, livable communities, a blueprint for a sustainable development policy, strategies for workforce education, and an update of the respected State of the Region Report.

Resource Center Program Support
The Resource Center is the only countywide organization dedicated to providing leadership and training to area nonprofit staff and boards. Through its 80 workshops per year, and its access to online and print resources, the Center and the Library is a nexus point for area nonprofit management and leadership issues. New initiatives include Building Board Leadership, Technology Works for Nonprofits (including a dedicated training center for nonprofit staff) and the Planned Giving Initiative, which is designed to strengthen nonprofits’ ability to develop and establish planned and deferred gifts. For those who want to explore how building community capital can further their philanthropic investments and make a difference today and tomorrow, please visit www.vccf.org or contact Hugh Ralston, president, at 805-988-0196, ext. 116, to discuss how you can secure our future by investing in Ventura County for Ventura County.
