Along with coping with the aftermath of the Borderline shooting, the Hill and Woolsey fires displaced hundreds of thousands of individuals and families across Ventura and Los Angeles counties over the past week. Numerous resources have since made themselves available for those affected. Below find a list of available resources and contact information.
On Nov. 10, President Donald Trump made available funds via the Federal Emergency Management Agency and on Tuesday, Nov. 13, declared a major disaster for the state. The declaration will make available funds for affected communities for crisis counseling, housing and unemployment assistance and legal services. The Woolsey Fire had destroyed an estimated 435 structures by Tuesday afternoon, while the Hill Fire had destroyed two.
