Fordi I tror p\u00e5 vores studerendes evne til at forf\u00f8lge deres dr\u00f8mme og skabe en lysere fremtid for Ventura County, har I gjort den utrolige effekt af vores stipendieprogram mulig.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Hvert eneste af vores stipendier repr\u00e6senterer et forandret liv for vores studerende. Hvis du ikke allerede har gjort det, s\u00e5 se videoen ovenfor for at m\u00e6rke taknemmeligheden hos de modtagere, der nu kan f\u00f8lge deres uddannelsesm\u00e5l takket v\u00e6re dig. Fra alle modtagerne og alle os i Ventura County Community Foundation vil vi gerne sige hjertelig tak for at have hjulpet med at g\u00f8re deres dr\u00f8mme til virkelighed.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:10px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Vores stipendiemodtagere<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Vi er virkelig imponerede over hver eneste af jer og over jeres h\u00e5rde arbejde. Hele VCCF-f\u00e6llesskabet er s\u00e5 stolt af jer, fordi I har overvundet personlige udfordringer og er vokset ud over Covid-19-pandemiens tilbageslag. Det er en \u00e6re for VCCF, vores mange gener\u00f8se donorer, der g\u00f8r denne st\u00f8tte mulig, og vores frivillige i stipendieudvalget at v\u00e6re ved jeres side, mens I arbejder p\u00e5 at n\u00e5 jeres uddannelsesdr\u00f8mme.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Vi kan ikke understrege nok, hvor stolte vi er af jer alle og alle jeres pr\u00e6stationer, og vi er s\u00e5 sp\u00e6ndte p\u00e5 at se, hvad fremtiden har i vente for jer!<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:10px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Vores udv\u00e6lgelseskomit\u00e9<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Vi er enormt taknemmelige for det engagement, som vores stipendieudvalg l\u00e6gger for dagen. I denne s\u00e6son l\u00e6ste vores utrolige frivillige over 6.000 ans\u00f8gninger fra 980 ans\u00f8gere. I gennemsnit l\u00e6ste hver frivillig 60 ans\u00f8gninger, hvilket i alt svarer til tusindvis af arbejdstimer for at hj\u00e6lpe vores studerende med at n\u00e5 deres akademiske dr\u00f8mme. In the last 11 months, our major goal has been to\u00a0take\u00a0a\u00a0closer\u00a0look\u00a0at\u00a0the\u00a0systems\u00a0we\u00a0use\u00a0to\u00a0administer\u00a0this\u00a0program\u00a0and\u00a0work\u00a0to\u00a0improve\u00a0and\u00a0streamline\u00a0those\u00a0systems and related processes, as the program continues to grow each year. We want to be able to scale this work and give our team more time to be in the field recruiting new partners and broaden our application pool. One of the biggest changes we made was to really leverage our technology to lighten the administrative burden of this program, and it has paid off!!! We are now using our online scholarship platform to confirm scholarship awards and collect required paperwork from students. This simple change has not only saved many, many trees, but staff time, postage and scholarship processing time. In July 2023, we were able to process and mail more than 100 scholarship checks to colleges and universities throughout the country. This is a huge improvement over the past years. The other priority we are working on is a \u201cdeep dive\u201d audit on our scholarship portfolios. I want to send a very special thank you to my partner in this work, Tracy Tagawa, VCCF\u2019s Compliance Director. While at times it felt like were drinking from the firehose, we stuck together, learned a lot, and at times and laughed out loud after finishing each other\u2019s sentences. Finally, I want to thank another fantastic partner in this work, our Scholarship Coordinator Emily Marostica, who started with us in January. Emily picked this work up in no time, and her database knowledge is incredible. She comes to work each day with a smile and a can-do spirit, and I am so thankful for her partnership in this work.
