One family in Sylmar, north of Los Angeles, arrived at their ranch Wednesday morning to find nearly 30 horses had died in the blaze.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n \u201cAll I could think about was the horses, the horses, the horses. And they were like, \u2018Get out, get out, get out,\u2019 \u201d Patricia Padilla, one of the ranch\u2019s owners,\u00a0told the Los Angeles Times<\/a>. \u201cThe structures can get rebuilt, but the lives of the horses can\u2019t. … That\u2019s my biggest heartbreak.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/div>\n No human fatalities had been reported as of Wednesday evening. But the Ventura County Fire Department warned of a \u201csevere impact on air quality and visibility\u201d as a result of the blazes. The charity\u00a0said on Facebook<\/a>\u00a0that donations of water and food are particularly helpful.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n The Humane Society of Ventura County has taken in roughly 300 animals.
