KidSTREAM, an emerging children\u2019s museum in Camarillo, said more than two dozen people and businesses have made in-kind or monetary donations to design and build its Visioning Room.<\/p>\n

The museum leased the former Camarillo Library building, where the former community room has become the Visioning Room, a site for focus groups around interactive exhibits.<\/p>\n

\u201cHere, we can give children and families hands-on experiences, and we can collect feedback on what they would like to see and do at the future museum,\u201d said Kristie Akl, kidSTREAM founder and board president. \u201cThis could never have happened without the community support of so many.\u201d<\/p>\n

Friedrich donated two high-performance ductless heat and cooling units for the space, while the Ventura County Community Foundation awarded a $30,000 grant for renovations. Other contributing businesses include Airworks Solutions, Kodiak Construction, Gold Coast Carpenters, Bill Davis Drywall Inc., Johnstone Supply, Drapery Affair, Deborah Kolb Photography, Meadowlark Service League, Vista Paint, Advanced Sanitation, Trophies Etc. and Party Pleasers.<\/p>\n

Contributing individuals include Annie Barker, David Barker, Christine Blasman, Crystal Money, Brad Willson, Julia Heidenrich, Alberto Perez Badillo, Ken Brand, Gregory Lombardozzi and Jimmy Pertusati.<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

Like the future museum, the Visioning Room \u2013 currently used by appointment only for small focus groups \u2013 provides activities and learning experiences that focus on science, technology, reading, engineering, arts and math (STREAM).<\/p>\n
