El fundador de una organización sin ánimo de lucro, nombrado "superhéroe" de la vida real

Young was one of the more than 700 nominees submitted to Studio Movie Grill as part of a nationwide search for everyday women making a big difference in communities.

Nominations were solicited for a month to find the women with the most inspiring stories from each of Studio Movie Grill’s 11 markets, nationally, including Simi Valley/Los Angeles.

In the search to find the perfect candidates, a seven-person review committee combed through each submission to select worthy representatives from each market, in addition to a special selection made by the “Kidd Kraddick Morning Show.” Each “Real Life Woman Superhero” was chosen based on dedication to helping others, resiliency in the face of tough circumstances and professional achievements.

Young and a guest, along with her fellow honorees, will be flown to Dallas, home of Studio Movie Grill’s corporate headquarters, for a special red-carpet screening of “Wonder Woman” on May 31. Prior to the film, each honoree will be presented with the company’s Opening Hearts and Minds Award. A $1,000 donation will also be made to each honoree’s charity of choice.
