I am honored to officially be part of the Isabella Project as Director of Marketing and Communications for this important mission to make highest-quality early childhood education available throughout Ventura County, starting in Santa Paula. The last few weeks have been a whirlwind of activity, and I am in awe of the level of expertise, passion, and collaboration I’ve witnessed from all of you since my introduction to the Isabella Project.<\/p>\n\t
Recently, Dr. Gabino Aguirre travelled to Washington D.C. to champion the critical need for highest-quality early education for all children in Ventura County and beyond at the Foundations on the Hill 2024 – Southern California Grantmakers event. It is the largest annual public policy and advocacy conference dedicated solely to the philanthropic sector. Gabino met with numerous elected officials and shared what we are doing here in Ventura County through the Isabella Project. He will continue to foster conversations with those he met and update them on our progress!<\/p>\n\t
Another exciting development is the involvement of the Santa Paula Chamber of Commerce with the Isabella Project. The Chamber is informing and engaging the local business community about the Isabella Project and providing resources on how employers can support their employees regarding child care. In addition to this, they are helping to provide a better understanding of the needs of both employers and employees as it pertains to child care in our region. This, in addition to the comprehensive data and research we will continue to receive from VIVA will guide next steps.<\/p>\n\t
