Food Share Inc. a Ventura County Community Foundation partner has gone from serving meals to 75,000 people per month to 150,000 people since the start of the pandemic.<\/p>\n<p>The Amgen Foundation has announced it will contribute $300,000 in matching grants to VCCF\u2019s Rapid Response Fund. \u201cour goal is to triple the fund with matching contributions, for every fifty cents they give us we will attempt to raise $1.00 in matching funds.\u201d Lambert added. \u201cIn addition, we want to continue to fund non-profits that serve individuals and families affected by Covid-19.\u201d He added.<\/p>\n<p>Los fondos recaudados en la campa\u00f1a de equiparaci\u00f3n beneficiar\u00e1n a organizaciones locales sin \u00e1nimo de lucro que atienden las necesidades continuas de personas y familias con apoyo alimentario y de vivienda, cuidado de ni\u00f1os, sustituci\u00f3n salarial, atenci\u00f3n de salud mental y otras relacionadas con COVID-19.<\/p>\n<p>A speaker\u2019s program, available on-line produced by the VCCF, offers a series of forty-five-minute videos that tell the story of the real impact Covid-19 has had on our community. \u201cThey are really powerful hearing the stories of people on the ground making the impact happen by providing direct relief,\u201d Said Lambert. \u201cWe are not out of this crisis yet we are still deep into it and the real impact is still there and will be for some time to come,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n<p>Creada en 1987, la Fundaci\u00f3n Comunitaria del Condado de Ventura fomenta la filantrop\u00eda en la regi\u00f3n administrando legados mediante una cuidadosa gesti\u00f3n del capital ben\u00e9fico.
