The funds are being used to expand the (former) Redwood Club at Redwood Middle School, 233 W. Gainsborough Road in Thousand Oaks. The club is now known as the\u00a0John L. Notter Family Boys & Girls Club<\/strong>; the expansion will create an 8,000-square-foot permanent facility and will double the number of youth currently served by the clubs, also increasing quality programming for its members. \u2026 The\u00a0Sinfon\u00eda del Nuevo Oeste<\/strong>\u00a0received a total of more than $35,000 in grants for its\u00a0Harmony Project of Ventura County<\/strong>. The $18,525 from the\u00a0Fondo Barbara Barnard Smith para las M\u00fasicas del Mundo<\/strong>\u00a0(operated by the Ventura County Community Foundation) will be used to include Latin American music in the Harmony Project\u2019s curriculum, offering students the opportunity to diversify their musical knowledge and build pride in their cultural identities. The $14,000 from the\u00a0city of San Buenaventura\u2019s Parks, Recreation and Community Partnerships Department\u00a0<\/strong>and $2,500 from\u00a0Montecito Bank and Trust<\/strong>\u00a0will foster the project\u2019s mission. \u2026\u00a0Students for Eco-Education and Agriculture (SEEAG)<\/strong>\u00a0received a $7,500 grant from\u00a0Reiter Affiliated Companies<\/strong>, the largest fresh, multiberry producer in the world and the leading supplier of fresh strawberries, raspberries, blueberries and blackberries in North America.
