Read the full story below or on the Journal-News sitio web<\/a>.\u00a0<\/em><\/p>\n The California wildfires have destroyed homes,\u00a0an entire town<\/a>\u00a0and taken the lives of dozens.<\/p>\n As victims continue to evacuate as fires spread, and as firefighters continue to battle the flames, there are a number of ways to help.<\/p>\n Hill Fire\/Woolsey Fire Fondo de Esfuerzo para Necesidades S\u00fabitas y Urgentes<\/b><\/p>\n KABC reported<\/a>\u00a0that the\u00a0Ventura County Community Foundation established the\u00a0Hill Fire\/Woolsey Fire Sudden and Urgent Needs Effort Fund\u00a0to support the immediate needs of organizations assisting those affected by the fires.<\/p>\n United Way de Los \u00c1ngeles<\/b><\/p>\n A cash donation can be made to the\u00a0United Way of Greater Los Angeles’s disaster relief fund<\/a>. Donations will help those impacted by the Hill and Woolsey fires, as well as other natural disasters.<\/p>\n Ej\u00e9rcito de Salvaci\u00f3n\u00a0<\/b><\/p>\n En\u00a0California South Division of the Salvation Army is collecting monetary donations<\/a>\u00a0that will assist those impacted by the Hill and Woolsey fires. Meals, housing and personal necessities are provided to victims and first responders such as firefighters and police.\u00a0Donations can be made online<\/a>\u00a0once or monthly.<\/p>\n Sociedad Humanitaria del Condado de Ventura<\/b><\/p>\n Animals are impacted by the wildfires, too. The Humane Society has been accepting evacuee animals — dogs, cats, horses and other domesticated animals — from the fires. Those in the area can drop off supplies at the shelter, particularly items for evacuated horses<\/a>, such as horse electrolytes in powder form and 40-gallon heavy-duty horse water troughs. Donations to support the needs of the animals can be made at\u00a0HSVC.org<\/a>.<\/p>\n Butte Humane Society<\/b><\/p>\n The Chico, California, animal shelter is accepting supplies to help displaced pet owners who have placed their animals in their care. The shelter is creating an animal food and supply pantry to assist those affected by the fire who need food and supplies for their animals. Those not in the area can\u00a0donate items to the shelter\u2019s Amazon Wish List<\/a>.
