To read the full article, visit the VC Reporter <a href=\"https:\/\/www.vcreporter.com\/2018\/11\/in-brief-nov-21-2018\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">sitio web<\/a>. <\/em><\/p>\n<p><strong>REO Speedwagon to perform benefit show<br \/>\n<\/strong><br \/>\nREO Speedwagon is coming to town in January and is dedicating their show to the victims of the Borderline Bar &amp; Grill shooting and those affected by the Woolsey Fire.<\/p>\n<p>All proceeds from the show, which will happen on Jan. 12, 2019, will be donated to the Ventura County Community Foundation.<\/p>\n<p>REO Speedwagon lead singer Kevin Cronin, a resident of Westlake Village, says that his twin sons played a show at Borderline with their band Sir, Please, not too long before the attack.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cTo have this horrible shooting happen there just a couple of miles from home was hard to fathom,\u201d said Cronin.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cObviously we want to give people a good show with all the hits that they\u2019ve come to know and love, but there will definitely be an aspect of the show honoring the memories of the people who were so senselessly murdered at the Borderline as well as finding a way to benefit people who have been left homeless,\u201d said Cronin.<\/p>\n<p>The show is set for two nights, Jan. 12,13, and will take place at the Fred Kavli Theater, Thousand Oaks Civic Arts Plaza, 2100 Thousand Oaks Blvd., Thousand Oaks.
