Ch\u00e8re famille de la Ventura County Community Foundation,<\/p>\n

This month, because of the generosity of hundreds of VCCF donors and our incredible Scholarship Selection Committee, 429 scholarships were awarded to 341 students in Ventura County<\/strong>, totaling $1,432,532 in support<\/strong>. Letters of gratitude are already pouring in from students who describe the financial assistance as “life-changing,” “validating,” “a huge relief,” and “filling me with hope.”<\/p>\n

Benjamin Franklin reminds us that “An investment in knowledge pays the best interest.” At VCCF, we certainly believe this to be true and I specifically want to thank Kirsti Thompson, Emily Marostica, and Tracy Tagawa on VCCF\u2019s staff team<\/strong> for their herculean efforts this season.<\/p>\n

For those that may not know, we had over 20% more applicants this year than ever before<\/strong> and I personally can\u2019t wait for the day that all qualified candidates receive the financial support and assistance needed to pursue their dreams.
