Parce que vous croyez en la capacit\u00e9 de nos \u00e9tudiants \u00e0 poursuivre leurs r\u00eaves et \u00e0 cr\u00e9er un avenir meilleur pour le comt\u00e9 de Ventura, vous avez rendu possible l'impact incroyable de notre programme de bourses.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Chacune de nos bourses repr\u00e9sente un changement de vie pour nos \u00e9tudiants. Toute la communaut\u00e9 de la VCCF est tr\u00e8s fi\u00e8re de vous, qui avez surmont\u00e9 des d\u00e9fis personnels et avez grandi au-del\u00e0 des revers de la pand\u00e9mie de Covid-19. C'est un honneur pour la VCCF, nos nombreux et g\u00e9n\u00e9reux donateurs qui rendent ce soutien possible, et les b\u00e9n\u00e9voles de notre comit\u00e9 de s\u00e9lection des bourses d'\u00e9tudes, d'\u00eatre \u00e0 vos c\u00f4t\u00e9s, alors que vous travaillez \u00e0 la r\u00e9alisation de vos r\u00eaves \u00e9ducatifs.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Nous ne saurions trop insister sur la fiert\u00e9 que nous \u00e9prouvons \u00e0 l'\u00e9gard de vous tous et de toutes vos r\u00e9alisations, et nous sommes tr\u00e8s impatients de voir ce que l'avenir vous r\u00e9serve !<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:10px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Notre comit\u00e9 de s\u00e9lection<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Nous sommes extr\u00eamement reconnaissants du d\u00e9vouement de notre comit\u00e9 de collecte des bourses. Cette saison, nos incroyables b\u00e9n\u00e9voles ont lu plus de 6 000 demandes \u00e9manant de 980 candidats. En moyenne, chaque b\u00e9n\u00e9vole a lu 60 dossiers, ce qui repr\u00e9sente des milliers d'heures de travail collectif pour aider nos \u00e9tudiants \u00e0 r\u00e9aliser leurs r\u00eaves acad\u00e9miques. In the last 11 months, our major goal has been to\u00a0take\u00a0a\u00a0closer\u00a0look\u00a0at\u00a0the\u00a0systems\u00a0we\u00a0use\u00a0to\u00a0administer\u00a0this\u00a0program\u00a0and\u00a0work\u00a0to\u00a0improve\u00a0and\u00a0streamline\u00a0those\u00a0systems and related processes, as the program continues to grow each year. We want to be able to scale this work and give our team more time to be in the field recruiting new partners and broaden our application pool. One of the biggest changes we made was to really leverage our technology to lighten the administrative burden of this program, and it has paid off!!! We are now using our online scholarship platform to confirm scholarship awards and collect required paperwork from students. This simple change has not only saved many, many trees, but staff time, postage and scholarship processing time. In July 2023, we were able to process and mail more than 100 scholarship checks to colleges and universities throughout the country. This is a huge improvement over the past years. The other priority we are working on is a \u201cdeep dive\u201d audit on our scholarship portfolios. I want to send a very special thank you to my partner in this work, Tracy Tagawa, VCCF\u2019s Compliance Director. While at times it felt like were drinking from the firehose, we stuck together, learned a lot, and at times and laughed out loud after finishing each other\u2019s sentences. Finally, I want to thank another fantastic partner in this work, our Scholarship Coordinator Emily Marostica, who started with us in January. Emily picked this work up in no time, and her database knowledge is incredible. She comes to work each day with a smile and a can-do spirit, and I am so thankful for her partnership in this work.
