When analyzing the data, based on the calculation in the Washington Post, approximately\u00a0<strong>300 lives were saved<\/strong>, meaning just under\u00a0<strong>3,000 family members are not grieving the loss of a loved one due to Covid-19 right now.<\/strong><\/p>\n<div id=\"attachment_15863\" style=\"width: 310px\" class=\"wp-caption alignleft\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-15863\" class=\"wp-image-15863 size-medium\" src=\"https:\/\/vccf.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/06\/vcoe-photo-e1656531707714-300x238.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"300\" height=\"238\" srcset=\"https:\/\/vccf.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/06\/vcoe-photo-e1656531707714-300x238.jpg 300w, https:\/\/vccf.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/06\/vcoe-photo-e1656531707714-15x12.jpg 15w, https:\/\/vccf.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/06\/vcoe-photo-e1656531707714.jpg 424w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 300px) 100vw, 300px\" \/><p id=\"caption-attachment-15863\" class=\"wp-caption-text\"><em>Dr. Gabino Aguirre, Vanessa Bechtel, and Jeffrey Lambert recently visited the Ventura County Office of Education and Dr. C\u00e9sar Morales<\/em><em>, a huge champion for highest-quality early childhood education in Ventura County. Together we can and must address the fact that over half of preschool aged children are unable to access any early childhood education in our community.<span style=\"color: #ff6600;\"><strong> <a style=\"color: #ff6600;\" href=\"https:\/\/vccf.org\/it\/vccf-initiatives\/isabella-project-early-childhood-education\/\">Per saperne di pi\u00f9<\/a><\/strong><\/span><\/em><\/p><\/div>\n<p>Activities ranged from\u00a0<strong>distributing information in food boxes by Food Share and its 150 partner agencies<\/strong>, to\u00a0<strong>hosting vaccine clinics<\/strong>\u00a0e\u00a0<strong>engaging with residents door-to-door<\/strong>.\u00a0<strong>Westminister Free Clinic<\/strong>\u00a0reached close to\u00a0<strong>23,000 individuals<\/strong>\u00a0through their outreach efforts, with\u00a0<strong>Poder Popular<\/strong>\u00a0having tremendous success thanks to the leadership of\u00a0<strong>26 promotores<\/strong>\u00a0e\u00a0<strong>60 volunteers<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>In this most recent round of funding, our local nonprofits connected with\u00a0<strong>55,122 families<\/strong>, serving\u00a0<strong>150,119 residents of Ventura County<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>I invite you to enjoy\u00a0<strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=jUGHgZunmxQ\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Vacunate Rap<\/a><\/strong>, featuring Jade, a local rapper, and hope you will join me in a moment of gratitude to\u00a0<strong>Dr. Robert Levin, Dr. John Fankhauser, Rigoberto Vargas<\/strong>, e\u00a0<strong>so many of the tremendous leaders with the County of Ventura<\/strong>\u00a0for making this effort possible. They offer monthly support meetings for LGBTQIA+ persons, their families, friends and allies. Often the group is attended by people who are transgender, transitioning or gender fluid. FFLUID also participates in local activism and community building. They were the recipients of Simi Valley&#8217;s first Pride Proclamation in city history, and were key participants in launching the Conejo Valley Pride Festival.
