According to the\u00a0Los Angeles Times<\/em><\/a>\u00a0this morning, the Camp Fire in Paradise has taken the lives of\u00a056 people.<\/p>\n There are several ways to donate to the emergency relief effort.\u00a0The New York Times<\/em>\u00a0recently compiled a list of\u00a0organizations on the ground that are seeking donations\u2014clicca qui<\/a>\u00a0to see\u00a0the list\u00a0and donate.<\/p>\n We\u2019re hoping to connect with jewelry businesses in the area in the coming days. During the devastating Thomas Fire in Ventura and Santa Barbara last year, members of the local jewelry community took\u00a0incredible care<\/a>\u00a0of each other and their neighbors, as fires engulfed dozens of houses tucked into the city\u2019s\u00a0hillsides.<\/p>\n At least one jeweler in the Los Angeles area has put a plan into place to\u00a0raise\u00a0funds\u00a0for the\u00a0emergency\u2019s first responders and victims.<\/p>\n Last night L.A.-based jewelry\u00a0brand\u00a0Rosa Van Parys<\/a>\u00a0reached out to us with the announcement that the brand will be donating 100 percent of its proceeds from retail sales from now until the end of the holiday season to the Ventura County Community Foundation, which has set up the\u00a0Fondo per gli incendi di Hill Fire\/Woolsey per le necessit\u00e0 improvvise e urgenti<\/a>\u00a0as a vehicle to collect donations.<\/p>\n \u201cThe current events in our community have been unthinkable,\u201d said designer\u00a0Rosa Van Parys in a prepared statement, \u201cand we want to support those in need in the biggest way we can.\u201d<\/p>\n We anticipate many more jewelry industry-led efforts to help communities and victims rebuild once the smoke clears.
