ベンチュラ郡コミュニティ財団、スコット・ハンセンを理事長に任命

The Camarillo-based Ventura County Community Foundation appointed Scott Hansen as its new chair.

Hansen is the Wells Fargo regional managing director of wealth management for the Santa Barbara and Westlake Village markets. He manages a team of more than 100 financial professionals from Paso Robles to Studio City.

“Scott Hansen has the professional expertise to guide the board and the foundation toward its goal of stewarding more than $87 million in net assets for hundreds of donors and 90 nonprofits,” VCCF board member Charles Maxey said in a news release.

Hansen took over for Gary Erickson, who held the position three years and recently relocated to another region.

Hansen, a UC Santa Barbara graduate, has served on a number of boards, including the Cancer Support Community Valley of Ventura and Santa Barbara, Provisors and Big Brothers Big Sisters of Ventura County.

The appointment marks the continued rebuilding of the foundation since the VCCF cut staff and suspended its Center for Nonprofit Leadership in September 2015. An independent fiduciary review found that the Ventura County Community Foundation undervalued donor-restricted funds due to improper fund management, VCCF announced in June 2016.

California Lutheran University started a nonprofit leadership center last year that aims to help fill the void created by VCCF’s restructuring.

Over the past year, VCCF distributed $4 million in grants and support, including scholarships and aid to several hundred local organizations.
