Whitworth’s check will go to the\u00a0Ventura County Community Foundation’s Conejo Valley Victims Fund.<\/p>\n Whitworth spoke about the tragedy earlier this week, via\u00a0Shalise Manza Young<\/a>\u00a0of Yahoo Sports:<\/p>\n “As a group, everyone\u2019s affected in a different way. Whether it\u2019s the fear of having your own kids that could be involved in something like that, if it\u2019s the fear of just being in that environment yourself or just living somewhere where something like that\u2019s happened.<\/em><\/p>\n “You always think it\u2019s never going to be around you or involve you, but you always see that from people once you experience it. I think we just wanted to find a way to come together and really just wrap our arms around the community that we live in and that we operate and work in.”<\/em><\/p>\n The 36-year-old is also one of several players\u2014including\u00a0quarterback Jared Goff and running back Todd Gurley\u2014who will auction off jerseys from Sunday’s game against the\u00a0\u30b7\u30a2\u30c8\u30eb\u30fb\u30b7\u30fc\u30db\u30fc\u30af\u30b9<\/a>\u00a0to benefit the victims.<\/p>\n Some donations will also go to\u00a0American Red Cross Southern California Wildfire Relief after multiple wildfires have caused damage in nearby areas.<\/p>\n
