As the Woolsey Fire continues to rage, CBS2\/KCAL9 held a telethon fundraiser Wednesday to benefit victims of the wildfire, joining a list of companies that have stepped up with donations to relief efforts.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

Donations to the telethon, held in conjunction with the Rams and United Way, can be made by calling (818) 821-1080 or by texting \u201c2018fires\u201d to 41444. Donations can also be made online at cbsla.com\/cbslahelps.<\/span><\/p>\n

Various corporations have also announced donations. Among them are:<\/p>\n

\u2014 Phillips 66 announced it is donating $250,000 to the American Red Cross.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

\u2014 Musical-instrument retailer Guitar Center Inc. is accepting donations from customers at its stores and online, and the company will match donations collected through Nov. 28, up to $25,000.<\/p>\n

\u2014 The Amgen Foundation pledged $500,000, which will be donated to various nonprofit organizations providing relief. The foundation will also be donating $250,000 to the Ventura County Community Foundation\u2019s Conejo Valley Victims Fund to support victims of the shooting at the Borderline night club.<\/p>\n

<\/span>\u2014 U-Haul is offering up to 30 days of free self-storage and U-Box container usage for residents affected by the Woolsey and Hill fires.<\/p>\n

\u2014 The Walt Disney Co. donated $500,000, which will go to the California Community Foundation\u2019s Wildfire Relief Fund, which supports fire-recovery efforts, and the California Fire Foundation, which provides emotional and financial assistance to firefighters.
