Happy holidays and a happy new year from the VCCF team!<\/p><\/div>\n\n\n

Cara fam\u00edlia da Funda\u00e7\u00e3o Comunit\u00e1ria do Condado de Ventura,<\/p>\n

We have witnessed such generosity throughout our region this past year<\/strong>\u00a0and it fills our hearts with gratitude. We are in awe of your compassion and commitment to our community and cannot thank you enough for all you are doing to create lasting impact in our shared world.<\/p>\n

We recall the\u00a0first grant made in 2022<\/strong>, which helped a local nonprofit purchase essential household items for\u00a0women, children, and family pets fleeing domestic violence situations<\/strong>\u00a0and needing a safe place to stay while permanent housing is secured.<\/p>\n

This year, you have helped support those receiving care at\u00a0Mary Health of the Sick Convalescent and Nursing Hospital<\/strong>, and you\u2019ve awarded\u00a0scholarships to hundreds of local students<\/strong>\u00a0pursuing their dreams of higher education and career training.<\/p>\n

Together, you\u2019ve sponsored the wishes of children undergoing cancer treatment through grants made to\u00a0Make-A-Wish Tr\u00eas Condados<\/strong>, and you\u2019ve helped cover the costs of training at the\u00a0Funda\u00e7\u00e3o Nacional de C\u00e3es de Busca em Cat\u00e1strofes<\/strong>. You\u2019ve provided critical funding for\u00a0pancreatic cancer research<\/strong>\u00a0and have\u00a0helped local wildfire victims finally secure permanent housing<\/strong>\u00a0after experiencing devastation in the Thomas, Hill, and Woolsey wildfires.<\/p>\n

Because of you, middle schoolers in Oxnard are attending science camp<\/strong>\u00a0for the first time and a\u00a0local high school is getting a new library<\/strong>. You have afforded\u00a0swimming lessons to low-income children<\/strong>\u00a0and have sponsored dozens of\u00a0arts and cultural experiences<\/strong>\u00a0throughout our ten-city region. Together, you\u2019ve underwritten the costs associated with\u00a0local wildfire risk reduction efforts<\/strong>\u00a0and have helped protect\u00a0monarch butterflies<\/strong>\u00a0from becoming extinct through a meaningful grant made to\u00a0Escuteiras da Costa Central da Calif\u00f3rnia<\/strong>\u2026the list goes on and on!<\/p>\n

Collectively,\u00a0you have granted over $20 million this year\u00a0<\/strong>and your generosity continues, with your most recent grant signed this morning going to help the\u00a0Boys & Girls Club of Camarillo\u2019s<\/strong>\u00a0capital expansion, a vital community program that serves up to 500 children per day.<\/p>\n

Through it all, you continue to ask what else is needed and what more can be done. You fill us with hope and make our world brighter.<\/p>\n
