LOS ANGELES<\/strong>\u00a0– Hundreds of people lined the sidewalks outside a southern California high school Thursday afternoon, waiting their turn to donate blood to the victims injured a mass shooting that took place inside a nearby bar on Wednesday night.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n
Authorities said the gunman, a hooded Marine combat veteran dressed in all black, opened fire during college night at the Borderline Bar & Grill, a country bar in Thousand Oaks.<\/p>\n
A veteran Ventura County sheriff\u2019s sergeant, who was the first officer to go inside the bar amid the gunfire, was among the dead.<\/p>\n
The motive for the attack is under investigation.<\/p>\n
Over 200 people lined up outside La Reina High School in Thousand Oaks on Thursday to donate blood after a mobile blood donation unit parked outside the school. It was expected to remain there until at least 2 p.m. on Thursday, and will also return on Friday between 10 a.m. and 4 p.m.<\/p>\n
