With hundreds of homes lost to the Woolsey and Hill fires in Ventura and Los Angeles counties and 12 people killed during a shooting at the Borderline Bar & Grill in Thousand Oaks, several efforts have been launched to help the victims.

If you want to help the victims, here are some of your options:

Raffle: Conejo Valley Fire Side BBQ & Appliances will hold a raffle in memory of Sgt. Ron Helus, the Ventura County sheriff’s deputy killed in the Thousand Oaks shooting. Each raffle ticket is $50 with the chance to win a barbecue worth more than $2,999. All proceeds will be given to the Helus family. The raffle ends Dec. 15 and the winner will be announced Dec. 16. Ventura County Community Foundation: The foundation has launched a Hill Fire and Woolsey Fire Sudden and Urgent Needs Effort Fund to collect donations. Donations can be made at https://vccf.org/donate. Victims who wish to apply for funds can do so by visiting https://vccf.org.

Chabad of the Conejo: A distribution center will serve those impacted by the Woolsey and Hill fires. The center, at 30345 Canwood St. in Agoura Hills, is collecting items to be distributed. Organizers are hoping to collect gift cards, children’s gear like strollers and high chairs, clothing that is new or in good condition, phone chargers, toiletries and hotel or motel vouchers. Those wishing to donate or pick up supplies can come to the center daily between 9 a.m. and 6 p.m. For more information, contact Rabbi Moshe Bryski at [email protected] or call the office at 818-991-0991.

Ventura County Community Foundation: The foundation along with the Conrad N. Hilton Foundation, Amgen Foundation, California Community Foundation and city of Thousand Oaks, is collecting money for families, law enforcement and organizations providing support victims of the Borderline Bar & Grill shooting. To donate, go to www.vccf.org or call Bonnie Giles at 805-330-6681.

Tuesday, Nov. 20:Islands will donate 20 percent of sales from its five local restaurants to the United Way disaster relief fund. The proceeds will go toward those affected by the Hill and Woolsey fires. To participate, visit the Agoura Hills, Newbury Park, Simi Valley, Northridge or Canoga Park locations between 11 a.m. to 9:30 p.m.

Wednesday, Nov. 21: Denny’s in Moorpark will donate 100 percent of pre-tax sales from 7 a.m. to 10 p.m. to Ventura County Community Foundation to help those affected by the Woolsey Fire. Denny’s is at 832 New Los Angeles Ave., Moorpark.

Saturday, Nov. 24: “Boots for Borderline” will feature a parking lot filled with food vendors when it takes place from 1 to 7:30 p.m. at the Sunland Vintage Winery tasting room, 1321 E. Thousand Oaks Blvd., Suite A-108, Thousand Oaks. The winery and vendors will donate 100 percent of profits to families affected by the shooting, with guidance from the Greater Conejo Valley Chamber of Commerce.

Now through Nov. 27: The Westlake High School Choir students have been participating in a fundraiser selling athletic shoes to raise money for their various choirs. After the Borderline shooting and Hill and Woolsey fires, the students decided to give 100 percent of their fundraising proceeds to the fire and shooting victims through the Ventura County Community Foundation. To support the students’ fundraising efforts, visit www.liveinertia.com and click on the WHS Fundraiser tab.

Now through Nov. 30: At the combined Fatburger / Buffalo’s Express site in Thousand Oaks, 10 percent of all sales now through November will be donated to a victims’ fund overseen by the Ventura County Community Foundation. The restaurant is open from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. daily at 650 N. Moorpark Road.

Saturday, Dec. 1: “Little Shop of Horrors” Singalong Benefit, Newbury Park High School Performing Art Center, 456 N. Reino Road. Event is free. Cash donations and funds collected from the sale of food and refreshments will be given to the Ventura County Community Foundation for the benefit of families of the Borderline shooting and those displaced by the wildfires. Doors open at 6 p.m.; performances begin at 7 p.m.

Saturday, Dec. 1: CKO Kickboxing in Simi Valley is holding a “Punchathon” fundraiser in honor of Borderline victim Dan Manrique. Donations of any amount will be accepted for the 90-minute class though CKO typically offers a “bag” or spot for $20. Doors open at 9 a.m., class starts at 9:30 a.m. and a celebration of Manrique’s life will follow. The gym will also have food and raffle prizes for those not taking the class. CKO is located at 2955 Cochran St., Simi Valley. 805-210-5880.

Nationally, CKO gyms aim to raise $50,000 for Team Red, White and Blue. Manrique, a Marine Corps veteran, recently had been hired as a program manager for the nonprofit Team RWB, which connects veterans to their communities through physical and social activities.

Friday, Jan. 12 and Saturday, Jan. 13: REO Speedwagon will perform a pair of benefit concerts at Thousand Oaks Civic Arts Plaza’s Fred Kavli Theatre. All proceeds from the concerts will go to the Ventura County Community Foundation, which has set up funds for those impacted by the Borderline Bar & Grill shooting and Woolsey and Hill fires. REO Speedwagon had already been scheduled to perform at the Kavli Theatre on Jan. 12 but added the Jan. 13 concert and turned both into events to benefit the community. Tickets for the second show went on sale Thursday at noon. Tickets, priced at $61-$131, are available at the Civic Arts Plaza Box Office, 2100 Thousand Oaks Blvd., or through Ticketmaster at 800-745-3000 or online at www.ticketmaster.com.
