D'Oxnard à l'ONU : Jose Negrete, ancien boursier de la VCCF
In April, VCCF welcomed our former Adelante! scholar Jose Negrete to discuss his life’s journey and the impact of his community’s support, through the VCCF scholarship that made his higher education possible and the mentors who encouraged him to follow his dreams. Jose’s hard work and motivation despite the odds brought him from Oxnard all the way to working at the United Nations today at the Beyond Labs.
We were joined by VCCF scholarship donors, volunteer readers, staff, community members, and inspiring individuals from Jose’s life. We are so grateful to him for sharing his journey, and we look forward to inviting more students to the VCCF Nonprofit Center to hear their stories.
