FINDING WAYS TO HELP—Reeling from dual tragedies, residents in all corners of the city are raising money to support individuals affected by the Borderline shooting and thefires. Below, the organizers of Nov. 16’s Most Epic Lemonade Stand Ever present a check for $62,000 to the Ventura County Community Foundation last week. Bottom, Colina Middle School eighth-grader Lara Prust, pictured with her parents, Richard and Wendy, and their dog Minty, wanted to help families andfirst responders affected by the Woolseyfire, which came within blocks of her home in Westlake Hills. With help from her family, including brother Alex, she organized a 5K race, which took place Thanksgiving morning in the community. The event raised $2,000, which was donated to the Red Cross California wildfires fund.
