As a way to honor and thank support organizations and those who were affected by the Thomas and Woolsey fires, New West Symphony is happy to offer complimentary tickets to the upcoming concerts on February 9 & 10.

Complimentary tickets to either the Thousand Oaks Civic Arts Plaza or Oxnard Performing Arts Center performances may be redeemed online https://newwestsymphony.org/vccf with discount code: VCCFrecovery. This code is good for all sections except Founders Circle in Thousand Oaks.

To mark a very important time in our community, the New West Symphony has commissioned a work from Ojai-based composer Pauline Freschette, an award-winning singer/songwriter who has performed and recorded with many legendary artists including: Paul McCartney, Cher, Willie Nelson, Leonard Cohen, Diana Ross, duets with Neil Diamond, and with MUSE for the 2012 Olympics. She composed “Mountains of Ojai” while the fires were raging in Ojai. New West Symphony will be performing a world premiere.

Fawzi Haimor guest conducts this concert of Romantic masterworks including Brahms’ monumental Symphony No. 1, which took 14 years to complete, and which many have called “Beethoven’s 10th.” First Prize Winner of the 2017 Beethoven Piano Competition, Rodolfo Leone, performs Beethoven’s vigorous Piano Concerto No. 1.
