Família local doa $35.000 para apoiar programas de habitação e educação
VENTURA COUNTY, CA Num anúncio recente, o Merewether Family Community Fund concedeu $35.000 em financiamento através da Ventura County Community Foundation (VCCF) para apoiar várias organizações sem fins lucrativos que se centram na habitação e nos serviços educativos para os residentes do Condado de Ventura.

The Merewether Family Community Fund awarded grants to six organizations including:
- $10,000 to the Rescue Mission Alliance to be used towards emergency shelter, residential housing and vocational training
- $5,000 to Casa Pacifica Centers for Children and Families for the vocational education program for foster youth
- $5,000 to Interface Children and Family Services for general support of their crisis intervention, recovery, and violence prevention services
- $5,000 to MarriageWell, Inc. for general support for a new administrator
- $5,000 to People’s Self-Help Housing for general support to provide housing construction, educational programs, and case management in Ventura County
- $5,000 to Ventura County Community Development Corporation for education and counseling for first-time home buyers
“We are grateful for the generosity of the Merewether Family for their contributions to our community,” said Scott Hansen, Board Chair of VCCF. “These funds come at a critical time and will greatly impact vulnerable members of our community while helping increase the capacity of these worthy nonprofits to provide vital local services.”
