VCCF Responds to Disaster Relief Needs
Dear Ventura County Community Foundation Family,
I normally do not send out mass emails but today is an exception. The devastating fires have already impacted so many in our community, and I have heard the heartbreaking news from several of you this morning that you have lost your homes or have been evacuated. We want you to know our thoughts and prayers are with you and we are doing everything we can to support those in need.
Today we have identified $477,000 of VCCF assets that we will make immediately available for key organizations serving in a first responder role, including the local American Red Cross. Those organizations are being notified as I write this email.
Additionally, we have updated our website to encourage donations to support fire victims through the Ventura County Community Disaster Relief Fund at www.vccf.org. We launched this fund today to address the mid to long-term needs of Ventura County to recover and rebuild from the devastating fires that have struck our community.
Please visit our website for updates on our disaster relief partners.
In gratitude for your support and with prayers for our community,
Sincerely,
Vanessa
