VCCF Spring 2023 Donor Peer Network Dinner
The VCCF Donor Peer Network gathered on May 18, 2023 for an evening of friends, food, and learning more about their philanthropic impact with their community foundation for their spring dinner themed “Dream for the Future.” The Donor Peer Network was created during the Covid-19 pandemic to foster connection and relationships in VCCF’s donor client community.
The spring DPN dinner took place at the Boys & Girls Club of Camarillo to see the recently expanded and renovated facilities, ranging from the TOLD Corporation Tech Center, a S.T.E.A.M. center, and the Logan A. and Ventura County Community Foundation Sensory Motor Room. B&GCC CEO Roberto Martinez gave a tour of these rooms and more for the donors, and donors participated in a bracelet-making activity with some of the club’s kids during this tour.
This evening also featured guest speaker Dr. Rick MacLennan, Chancellor of the Ventura County Community College District, to present on the impact of the community college in Ventura County. The event wrapped with the unveiling of VCCF’s legacy magazine, A Legacy of Generosity. These donors were the first to see the highly anticipated publication and its interviews and stunning photography.
