VCCF Spring Internship – Marketing and Administrative Intern
This internship is to participate in various marketing and administrative tasks for the Ventura County Community Foundation’s Office of the President. This internship will last for 12 weeks during spring 2022, with a preference for undergraduate students studying communications and marketing and a passion for the nonprofit sector. The intern will help in various daily tasks, ranging from internal and external communications to general administrative tasks in a hybrid setting. This position will work closely with the Administrative Assistant of the Office of the President.
Responsibilities
- Copy writing, copy editing, and formatting for the Power of Purpose newsletter and various website blog posts
- Interviewing our donors to create monthly blog posts on their philanthropy
- Assisting in a major data transfer between MailChimp and Raiser’s Edge (with guidance and training)
- Emailing, scheduling meetings, and other general communications with external partners
- General administrative duties
- Attend weekly staff meetings
Skills
- MailChimp, Constant Contact, or any other newsletter/email template developing platform
- Microsoft Word, Powerpoint, and Excel
- Quick learning for new website programs and database platforms
- Creating social media posts (Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn)
- Organization and time management skills
